The scared design beneath the surface of all things becomes clear. In the beginning is nothing the simple white square on the left whose first few folds hold the maker’s intention. The middle piece is the folded lily, produced through the Japanese method of duogami, which uses a single sheet of paper with a different color on each side. The third piece, the yellow square, retains and displays the crease pattern from every fold that went into the lily. As a reflection of the shining light deep within all Creation, the unfolded pattern reveals the shape of a star.
